The Testaments

On the way home from church tonight:

Reed: "Mom?"
Me: "Yes?"
R: "There are 66."
M: "66 what?"
R: "There are 66 in the testaments."
M: "Do you mean 66 books in the Bible?"
R: "Yeah, that's what I mean."

Short Pause...

R: "Mom?"
M: "Yes?"
R: "There are 2. The Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament comes before the New Testament."
M: "That's exactly right - very good, buddy!"
R: "Do you know why there is an Old and a New Testament?"
M: "No, why?"
R: "Because the first one was too old so they had to get a new one."
