I think I might be crazy...

This was my second morning to run this week.  The pod casts from the  Couch Potato to 5k program is a good fit for me because they require minimal "work" on my part as far as keeping time or distance. I just download the podcast for whatever specific week I'm on and  do what the voice on my Ipod tells me to. :)  To my own shock and disbelief, I don't hate it! Don't get me wrong, it is by no means fun, but it's certainly not as brutal as I first thought it to be. When I tried running before, I had no plan what-so-ever and just went outside and ran. People, it just doesn't work that way - not for me at least.  Now that I'm easing into it, I certainly think it's do-able.  This morning, as I was perusing the Internet after my run, I came across the 2009 Rock & Roll Marathon website.  This is the same event that I spoke of when telling about the crazy, yet very fit-looking girls in our church class.  As I went back to read some blog posts from the participants of the 1/2 marathon (especially this one - Jami and I seem to think very similarly on the subject), I'm thinking that it's absolutely idiotic to even consider it...  I've joined the marathon's group on Facebook, but that's as much as a commitment as I can make. :)

This is only my first week, so a 1/2 marathon seems totally out of my reach at this point.  It would certainly be a huge deal to me.  As for now, I'll continue on with my running plan and as far as San Antonio goes, I have a good 8 months to think about it. :)

when in the world do you run? In am before B goes to work? Push a double stroller with the boys in it? After work when B can watch the boys? My problem is I have a "litter" of children and never have any place to leave all of them :)

Good for you! Keep it up! (No pressure intended)

I got up and went a little after 6:15 this morning...I was able to take a shower and have my coffee before anybody got up this morning...but my kids tend to sleep late - until 7:30 or so...

I don't like getting up so early, but if beats dragging kids to the gym!
