Snow Day 2010

The snow has been amazing.  We have gotten about 5-6 inches of snow at our house in the last 24 hours.  Yesterday I was amazed at how long it snowed - all day!  We live in Texas for goodness sakes!  They bird were going crazy outside... we had about 7 or 8 birds eating out of the feeders all at once.  They're hard to see, but you can certainly see the cardinal on the branch in the middle of the picture.
Brian went out last night when he got home to scrape the snow off the satellite so we could watch TV. :)  He brought some snow in for the boys and they loved it.  Hudson kept saying "Mmmmm!  Mmmmmm!"

I thought yesterday was awesome, then Reed came into our room this morning and said "Mom!  Wait until you see the trees - they're beautiful!"  Yes they were indeed!  I got on my warm clothes and rain boots and walked around taking pictures.  It was dead silent and still - one absolutely gorgeous with the sun beginning to peek through the trees.

Our driveway
We all got on our warm clothes and went outside to make a snowman.  The boys were so cute playing in the snow with their daddy...

Reed made a snow angel
Hudson got hit with a snowball
and we built our family in snowmen.
Snow days are awesome!

Holy toledo! I heard you guys got a lot of snow, but that wasn't doing it justice. HOW BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And HOW RARE!!!!! I love the picture of the red bird on the branch surrounded by snow. It warmed my heart. We don't get to see things like that here in Sugar Land.
